Computer Literacy

Many jobs, even entry level ones, require some ability to use computers.  Our Computer Literacy Program enables people with little or no computer skills to compete for jobs that require them.  In addition to basic computer navigation, students acquire proficiency in the use of the more common computer program tools.  This program enables participants to navigate their computers and to use the more common computer program tools.  Topics include:

  • Computer basics
  • Keyboarding
  • Internet use
  • E-mail
  • Microsoft Office
  • WORD
  • EXCEL
  • Quickbooks

This training is complemented by the use of the GCFGlobal Learn-Free website.

WORD, EXCEL and Quickbooks are taught as stand-alone courses.

All classes are taught in a computer laboratory and are “hands-on”.

There is no cost to the participants for this program or for materials or equipment use.
