Admission Criteria
Forward Training Center accepts applicants without regard to religious affiliation, or lack thereof. We will not pressure anyone to change their personal beliefs. At the same time, we are a Christian organization and we will share our beliefs with students.
The following criteria must be met for an applicant to be accepted into and remain in our programs.
- An applicant must be willing to accept the program requirements in areas of responsibility and self-sufficiency with a desire to gain skills and knowledge for employment.
- An applicant must be physically, mentally and emotionally employable.
- An applicant must exhibit the mental and emotional maturity and literacy to successfully participate in classes.
- If an applicant does not possess a high school diploma or equivalent, they will be encouraged to aspire to higher job qualifications and to pursue a High School Equivalency diploma after graduation.
- An applicant must agree to a background check to be accepted into the program. Issues raised by the background check may be grounds to rejecting an applicant.
- An applicant must be drug and alcohol free to be accepted into the program. They must agree to random drug testing during the program. If an applicant/student is found to be using drugs or alcohol, they will be immediately dismissed from the program and offered referral to an agency for treatment.
